About Golf Cards
Golf cards are a type of sports card printed on plastic or cardboard. Golf cards have one or more player(s) from a professional or collegiate basketball league. You can purchase Golf cards individually or in packs, boxes (hobby or retail), or factory-sealed wax boxes.
History of Golf Cards
The first golf cards were produced by Pro Set in 1990-1991. World famous golfer Jack Nicklaus is featured on these golf cards. Despite the Jack Nicklaus feature, the Pro Set golf cards are not rare or of high value. In 2001, Upper Deck released its first Golf trading card set, which included Tiger Woods in his early years. Another set of golf cards was issued by Upper Deck in 2014. As the popularity of golf and trading card collecting boomed in 2021, Upper Deck announced the release of the Artifacts Golf collection. This 50-card base and 30-card rookie set include rare signed memorabilia cards and Diamond Relic inserts. One of the most notable characteristics of this set is the small amount of sand and dirt from the TPC Sawgrass Stadium Course in the Relics.
