- The main 1982 Donruss Baseball checklist totals 660 cards — 653 with players and seven checklists. That’s up from 605 in the company’s debut 1981 set and bringing it in line with Fleer. However, it’s also noticeably lower than Topps’ 792 card set.
- Like all three of the major 1982 baseball card releases, the Cal Ripken Jr. Rookie Card is the key to the set and it’s not even close. One of the most beloved players ever in the game, he’s also an industry icon.
