Overview
1988 Score Baseball marked the beginning of a new brand that would be among the hobby's most recognizable for about a decade. It brought a colorful look, sharp photographs and, like its competitors, an abundance of supply. Today, it's usually worth more as nostalgia than from a monetary standpoint.
The base set comes with 660 cards. While not quite as big as 1988 Topps, it's on par with Fleer and Donruss. While all the stars are present, there aren't many rookie cards with lasting appeal. Tom Glavine is easily the best of the set. Others include Ken Ken Caminiti, Gregg Jefferies and Ron Gant.
