Our 10 Favorite Cards from Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Twilight Masquerade

We’re so excited for the upcoming release of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet's "Twilight Masquerade" on May 24th. With the Japanese release always being in advance of the US one, we couldn’t help but explore what’s coming. Some stood out to us for their rarity, the gorgeous artwork, and others for their strategic importance to the Pokemon TCG. We couldn't wait to share our 10 favorites, so lets dive in!

Kieran (Special Illustration Rare Supporter): The card features Kieran in his iconic Teal Mask. The card allows players to switch Pokémon or enhance attacks, which can help add some deeper strategies to your gameplay.

Carmine (Special Illustration Rare Supporter): This special Carmine card offers impactful early-turn abilities and rich card art that might make you a little hungry. All this makes it a fun chase card for both collectors and TCG players.

Perrin (Special Illustration Rare Supporter): This illustration card showcases Perrin in her element of Pokemon photography. The card ability gives the player the ability to reshuffle Pokémon into their deck, which is an extremely useful power.

Greninja ex (Special Illustration Rare): Visually stunning with a Terastallized, color-rich depiction by akagi. The illustration on this card just screams “collector piece” because of how striking it is.

Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex (Special Illustration Rare): Reflecting its Pokémon Legends: Arceus origins, this card features mystical artwork and powers that can change a game in your favor. And there’s some cute little bear Pokemon on there too. Can’t really go wrong with this special illustration.

Infernape (Illustration Rare): A personal favorite Pokemon of ours (make sure to ask Austin all about it), Infernape features some really hot artwork. It almost looks hot to the touch. This card will bring some heat to your gameplay too.

Eevee (Illustration Rare): I mean… c’mon? The peaceful artwork of multiple adorable Eevees cuddled up on an armchair? This card is sure to be a collection chase for kids and Eevee lovers of all ages. We just want to crawl into this scene and hang out with all 8 of these little dudes (before they evolve into their more formidable evolutions).

Chansey (Illustration Rare): As one might expect from an original 151 Pokemon, the nostalgic design of this Chansey will appeal to long-time Pokemon fans. This card is going to be loved by game purists.

Tatsugiri (Illustration Rare): Playfully designed by Osare this Pokemon almost resembles a group of little sushi monsters. The illustration has a whimsical flair that will make it a fun chase card for many, it's almost like “pop art.” So much so it would be fun to blow it up and put it on display!

Iron Thorns ex (Full Art): Showcasing a lime green Tyranitar-like Pokémon on impressive holofoil, this card combines seriously cool artwork with insane in-game powers that many TCG players will want in their decks.
